- discussion topic Bad movies made better by good film music
- Comment Hellbound - Hellraiser II. The first movie was ok, with great music by Christopher Young. The second movie was awful but had even greater and bigger music by Young. That's the only reason I keep watching it.

- discussion topic RACHEL PORTMAN
- Comment
Tommy_Boy wrote Rachel Portmas is a kinda composer I like because her voice just instantly grabbed me. And even if the last couple of years she hasn't written anything in the grandeur ala Legend of Bagger Vance and Cider House Rules, she still know how to touch the heart. I honestly ...

- discussion topic 50th Annual GRAMMY Awards Nominations
- Comment Philip Glass has also been nominated for the wonderful track "I Knew Her" from the "Notes on a Scandal"-soundtrack. And I must say: Santaolalla's score works wonders in Babel. Let's just not forget that one of the most beautiful musical moments in the film has been composed by ...

- discussion topic JOE HISAISHI
- Comment I own quite a lot of Hisaishi's scores, but somehow I always forget that he's such a great composer. When I play one of his discs I'm always blown away again by the sheer beauty of his music...

- discussion topic Random locations and film music...
- Comment I have the pleasure of having the morbid occupation of undertaker, and I really can't count the times I heard horrible panflute versions of Morricone or Horner themes in the lounges of various funeral centres... It really breaks my musical heart knowing there is so much good music available and ...

- discussion topic DANNY ELFMAN
- Comment
Thor wrote
I like Elfman very much, but I don't think he should be doing this kind of project.
Why not? I would say it's a very interesting new direction for him, and I'm excited about what he'll come up with. Yeah, most of Glass' Morris-scores have been effective, ...

- discussion topic What I listened to on my way to/from work
- Comment I really need some sweet and light music in the mornings, so usually it's something by Rachel Portman, Gabriel Yared or some score that fits into that "easy listening"-category. At the end of a hard day's work I really need some energy, so then I need some music like Cutthroat Island or ...

- discussion topic Can the music influence in your rest When You are sleeping?
- Comment I usually listen to some music when I go to sleep and at a certain moment you reach that point when you're not sleeping and not awake anymore... The kind of music I play at that moment is always a great influence in my dreams / thoughts. So I think the music does play a role in the kind of dreams ...

- Comment I think in these grey, depressing autumn days the main title of Chicken Run would be fitting, to drive away that air of melancholy and make you feel happy again :)

- discussion topic GRAEME REVELL
- Comment Red Planet was amazing... It really lifted the movie from a mainstream-scifimovie to an ethereal movie with - well - almost operatic moments... Great score! Emma Shaplin should be used more in scores! And Sting, but only if it is with A Thousand Years :P
