- Comment Music samples are up: http://www.amazon.com/Original-Motion-Picture-Soundtrack-Adjustment/dp/B004PV2LFC/ If you plan to see the movie, I don't recommend sampling track 18. It's listed as the End Title, but a version of that theme appears earlier in the film and it's a really neat moment (a great ...

- Comment Indeed, the sound clips impressed me very much! And the amount of tracks, keky, shouldn't necessarily mean anything. I read that there is around 80 minutes of score composed by Desplat, and if that can fit on one CD, I see no reason why it wouldn't be there. 80/23 is more than three minutes per ...

Doesn't Pixar have a ...

- Comment I don't think it's a huge deal. As mentioned earlier, they probably knew what they were getting themselves into. Besides, what were the chances that it'd get nominated anyway? There are some strong contenders this year... I'm seeing Desplat and the two Newman scores as locks for noms this year ...

- Comment What does that mean..."refused the sequencing?" Please elaborate. Also, here is the soundtrack release info: http://www.concordmusicgroup.com/albums/CRE-31231-02/ 2 discs, and ~80 mins of original score. Pretty awesome.

- Comment Any updates on a release for Revolutionary Road? Like last year, Vantage has decided to put up the scores for their big contenders onlines, but the question is: WHEN? The Duchess is up, Defiance and RR are not. I have a feeling we'll be waiting quite a while for both (maybe into the new year, ...

- Comment Oh, and I should add -- I think Passengers sound a LOT like the music for the show House. I think the music in House works quite well and it's pretty catchy too, so I guess this also partially explains why I took to Passengers. It could be just me, again.

- Comment I also think it's very possible I just have bad taste in film music....and I make rash judgements. I don't think is my favorite of his, but it's up there. I'm one of those who really liked his work on The Starter Wife, but of course I really love K-Pax, Monte Cristo and Sky Captain. Monte Cristo ...

- Comment WOW. Passengers is definitely my favorite Shearmur so far. It's electronic as he did say, but there's some beautiful piano and lush strings. Great sound and just really well composed so far in. (It actually does, come to think of it, sound a little like something Newman would write, but not in ...

- Comment Um...Thomas Newman and pre-2003? I don't know if you're counting 03 of course, but Finding Nemo and Angels in America are among his best works. Lemony Snicket is a lot of fun. Little Children is a masterpiece. The Good German is pretty amazing as well. Jarhead is pretty excellent too, and ...

I've been checking Lakeshore's site and nothing on Amazon pops up. Still on for 09.02? It'd be sad if this doesn't come out...
