    Renger Koning is a Dutch (film) composer who won the Buma Award for best filmscore in 2017 for ‘Bezness as Usual’ directed by Alex Pitstra.
    After working for many years in advertising in 2012 he decided to start composing for films and documentaries.
    He is known for 'Die Welt', ‘Safe’, 'My name is Nobody', 'Blind Date' [short animation] and 'The Occupant' (2020)
    His music is characterised by a combination of live instruments and electronics, always in search of the emotional trigger.

    Buma Cultuur
    Since 2014 Renger Koning is a board member of Buma Cultuur and since 2019 Chairman of the board.
    The Buma Culture Foundation (stichting Buma Cultuur) is a non-profit organization that supports and promotes Dutch music. The name Buma Cultuur has existed since March 1, 2006, the foundation was formerly known as the Foundation Conamus.

    BUMA Cultuur is the (co) founder of ADE (Amsterdam Dance event), Eurosonic Noorderslag, BUMA NL, InJazz and several other festival and conferences.

    BCMM / DFC
    Since 2012 Renger Koning is a board member of BCMM, the Dutch association of media and film composers. He is also a member of DFC, Dutch Film Composers.
