Madison

This is the second time Kevin Kiner needs to use another composer's theme. But just like Wing Commander (theme of David Arnold), it's never a bad thing to use a theme by Christopher Young. True, Young isn't known for this sort of genre, but wouldn't it haven been wonderful if he ever scored it in full? Then again, Kiner makes the most of it, and holds nothing back during the final races. Themes wander through each other like it's the most natural thing on earth, and these tracks are truly worth it. Unnatural is the sound, or the sound of it. Though vibrant and strong, it feels like electronically enhanced or sampled (the track "The Gold Cup" is a good example of this). Sad considering it's not common with the recordings of the Prague Philharmonic. The middle feels a bit like a drag as well, but the end is truly worth it. And though Madison isn't that all rewarding during every single track, the victory at the end is still deserved and recommended.

As to be expected, the heroic material is splashingly good, a treat for the sports admirers amongst us.
The track "The Gold Cup" holds similarities with Rudy, never a bad thing.
The final tracks really deliver, it was worth the wait!
There's really something wrong with the recording, though it sounds vibrant, it doesn't sound natural.
The middle part (tracks 3 to 17) are lovely yet a bit dull after a while too.
