Rounders

Christopher Young

" Jazz or not to(o) jazz "

Written by Thomas Glorieux - Review of the regular release

I've heard a couple of jazz scores by now, and as always it's a sound that gets the job done. In a certain way, it even sets down a certain emotion. But mostly it stays on the background, and Rounders is just that. It forms the pace and the style of the picture, but mostly it's stays there until the end. Nice to set the pace down, but not enough variation wise. The few remaining "filmmusic" moments don't amount to anything out of the ordinary, making Rounders once again perfect background listening for the person seeking just this kind of thing.

Jazzy Christopher Young is back, enough to grace you for a funky background listen.
As always, jazz is a hit and miss affair. It obviously brings flair to a picture, but it also remains the same.
There's not much to tell, it's efficient but it hardly rattles the cage.
