Equalling the amount of interviews with Tyler Bates!

His last interesting interview was with Jon Brion (although with some odd questions at the end) but now it's clearly not interesting anymore.

Composer Brian Tyler rejoins ScoreNotes.com to chat about his two recent projects, "Dragonball: Evolution" and "The Fast and the Furious 4." Both of these films are slated for an April 2009 release date and each provided Brian a unique scoring opportunity.
For those of you curious about his upcoming projects, Brian also updates us on the status of his upcoming film, "Battle Los Angeles," a film that looks to be epic in scope and sound. And finally, we also get his opinion about the use of his music in the recent "Star Trek" trailer. As always, it's a wonderful conversation with one of the most in-demand composers working in the industry today.

I´d ask the same for those crappy electronica / techno tracks in Dragonball Evolution. We all know who the target of the movie are (wanker teenagers) but was it really imperative to include those tracks in the soundtrack? They are vomit inducing.

Not in the cinema, I guess bunny

Yes, the electronica in Dragonball pisses me off.

Yeah; you have a symphonic score and you contaminate it with that? Shameful.

    Interview: Brian Tyler
    April 8th, 2009 |
Published in Film, Music, Web Exclusives

You may not recognize his name or even his face, but chances are, you’ve heard from Brian Tyler before. The Harvard grad is the composer behind some of the more memorable movie scores in recent years, from critical darlings like Partition, to blockbusters like Rambo. This month, Tyler’s work can be heard in the latest installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise — a film that topped the box office just this past weekend. He’s usually found behind the scenes, but we think Tyler deserves a little spotlight, and we asked Casey Bridgers to track him down and find out more about this movie music man.

Let´s see: he is composing non stop loads of music, giving a lot of interviews and attending the premiere of the movies he scores where they get those cool pics of him with the crew of the film. Oh, and he finds time to take care of his cars. I´m starting to think Brian Tyler is a robot: he does not sleep / eat / all the rest usual stuff. He is the Jack Bauer of movie music industry.

  3. Speaking of Tyler interviews, for anybody who hasn't heard it yet, I thought his interview for the Tracksounds podcast was pretty interesting, especially when he talks about the length of most of his albums: http://tracksounds.com/specialfeatures/ … /index.htm

I'm really don't have time to listen to it as I'm too busy composing non stop loads of music, giving a lot of interviews and attending the premiere of the movies where I get those cool pics with the crew of the film.

What does he say about album length??
