    As some of you may know, I'm leaving tomorrow to visit my two Australian aunts with whom I'll be staying for the next 7-8 months. I just thought I'd create a thread to post any interesting stories and photographs I feel you will appreciate, if anybody is interested of course. I'm sure Demetris will be delighted to know that I'll be leaving Heathrow tomorrow on none other than the great Airbus A380!

    So until Wednesday... see ya!

    Well I arrived safely and have finally recovered from the jet lag. It was nice to be greeted by clear skies and warm weather after the so-called 'summer' we experienced back home this year.

    The A380 was an absolute pleasure to fly on, I loved every minute. The first thing which hit me was how quiet it is in comparison to other airliners which, considering the thrust it produces, is rather surprising. I was subsequently able to listen to music on my iPod with minimal interference from engine noise. I'll try and post some of the photos I took as soon as I can. I managed to get one taken with the famous 'Singapore Girls' on embarking.

    So anyway, at the moment I'm just completely chilling out with the help of the sun, a cold drink and a book, so don't worry if I don't seem to be logging in here as often as usual.

    And now that the formalities are over, LET'S GET TO THE MEAT! THE A380! Impressions, experience, how steady and stable the flight was, take off thrust and landing, engine noise, space and luxury (did you walk up to the business / first class or was that forbidden?) lavatories, EVERYTHING!

    It is you're sacred duty to give D all the details down to the smallest minutae about the experience aboard this wonderful craft ( and quite frankly I'd like to know too biggrin ). Now I don't know if he turns green but you really don't wanna make D mad wink

    Yeap! FSX if you have a really powerful pc, or flight simulator 2004. I'll make a relevant thread, there we can discuss technical stuff and fsx-specific if you're interested, i honestly gave around half of my energy during the last 6 years on those 2 babes wink You can ask me anything you want!

    What i am going to do mate? Frankly, if i flown A380 now, i'd be running around like a hyperactive kiddy driven by excitement but some (ordinary, i.e. not mad wink ) people seem NOT to realize the wonder of aviation they've been a part of. Srsly.

    My aunt, uncle and I drove into the lovely harbour town of Fremantle today for breakfast which was really nice. Then we continued north into Perth for some shopping, soon returning to Fremantle for dinner. The day was then appropriately topped off by a stop for local beer on the shore at sunset on the way back home.
