My latest review is the new Silva release The Music Of Batman. While this is not for a lot of you some will find it pleasant. I must say the Prague Philharmonic is improving.

Your review makes it seem like you missed portions of the album. I can't believe you didn't mention the Batman: Gotham Knight track (which is superb... at least on the La La Land album) or Shirley Walker's fantastic score to Mask of the Phantasm or the lack of Batman and Robin material (besides the main theme)

Again, Tom, I think you'll find a lot of "seasoned collectors" are interested in this title... especially if they included a larger suite from Batman and Robin which would have been a major selling point! I think a lot of us here at maintitles has very similar albums in our collections!

And something that you should be aware of as maintitle members is the fact that my reviews do reach a fair amount of people who are not in the soundtrack community but pretty casual listeners.

I'm working on the new release Wuthering Heights from La-La Land. Talk about a difference between the two scores, yikes!

There is also the Ryuichi Sakamoto version. I do like Al Newman's theme. But I need to get into that score further.
My favorite Alfred Newman score must be The Greatest Story Ever Told. I really like the 3 CD Varese edition a lot.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Beethoven: Rebel With a Cause
Listen to Beethoven's revolutionary exploration of heroism in reference to Napoleon Bonaparte. The evening's performance will also feature international cellist Denise Djokic during 'Variations on a Rococo Theme' by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven's 'Symphony No. 3 "Eroica" (Heroic)'.
This was the concert that I attended last night at St. Paul's Church. The cellist was an attractive Canadian from Nova Scotia and performed the Rococo flawlessly. As she explained so eloquently she found the right match when she discovered her 1901 cello.
The 'Eroica' live is a thing of beauty and I can well understand why Stravinsky was against all recording. The sound can't be duplicated and your really not experiencing the performance. I hear things that are not duplicated with the (0 & 1's). Keep in mind that I have thousands invested in my sound system and it doesn't hold a candle to the sound you experience from this church. A very enjoyable evening!!!
