    I did hear about Elton John originally going to score TLK. In fact Hans was made to rewrite the score near the end.

    Just saw Max Payne the other day. Just a poor film, style over substance, and the generic score wasn't anything to brag about either. But then the climax scene came and holy crap what gorgeous music.

    It is a beautiful piece - and, to me, is reminiscent of other emotional (rather than action-packed) pieces from the likes of Hellboy and Terminator 3.

    I don't enjoy all of Beltrami's stuff, but I'm sure one could make a hell of a Beltrami compilation if only picking the best of the best.

    According to the IMDB, Beltrami is scoring "V". Another reason to watch it.

  13. Variety reported it. Unless his score has been rejected, Corbeil scored the pilot -- as I posted in another thread after confirming it via Corbeil (who said he was not interested in doing the whole series).

    As I said then, I think Beltrami will slowly hand off the project to someone like Buck Sanders.

    Episode 2 was scored by Beltrami. Nothing really special, although some dark passages are 100% Beltrami.

  15. Episode 2 was pretty boring, I thought. Nothing happened. I have lost hope that this show will be worth watching. I will probably still watch the next few episodes, but I'm not impressed with anything about it so far.

    Yes, I agree. Ep. 2 was really boring (not that the first one was much better though). As you, I´ll watch the next 5-6 episodes but, so far, nothing to be impressed about.

  17. I have enjoyed listening to three of Beltrami's more eclectic scores this week. THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADES ESTRADA, 3:10 TO YUMA and IN THE ELECTRIC MIST are all very strong scores by a composer with a real knack for blending folk and orchestral colours.
