An overlooked composer, imo. His best known composition is the gorgeous operatic movement "Vide Cor Meum" for Ridley Scott's Hannibal, usually attributed wrongly to Hans Zimmer (same goes for "Kyrie for The Madgalene" from Da vinci code, also wrongly attributed to Zimmer but actually composed by Richard Harvey instead). He's currently assigned to score Edgar Allan Poe's Ligeia and for more info on the assignment you can always visit the original article at: http://upcomingfilmscores.blogspot.com/ … igeia.html

Indeed. His work on "Children of Lir", "Deirdre of the Sorrows", "Famine Remembrance" and "Immortal Memory" is great. Highly recommended.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Yeah; apparently the best works of LISA GERRARD are the ones where they collaborated whereas her teaming with the Pieter Bourke dude has further spiralled down the quality of their releases. The height of the fall has been her latest release, ICHI which is as irrelevant, mediocre and careless as it goes imo.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Yes, Cassisdy´s / Gerrard´s "Immortal Memory" is really good, although I prefer Cassidy´s work on "Famine Remembrance" (the Funeral March is awesome) or "Deirdre of the Sorrows".Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Just the concept and track titles were enough to sell me on this score...especially knowing how good Cassidy is at religious sounding music. Can't wait to hear it.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

Also, your review, wonderful! This is gonna be one of my favorite score related quotes of the year: "he did not want to drown the score in fiddle-de-dee silliness"

Did Thor order this score custom made for himself? It sounds like precisely the kind of music he loves.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -
