Inspired by similar threads on other message boards I thought I'd start up one here.

It's very simple... upload a photo of your music collection.

Just in case anyone is interested here are the pics I uploaded at FSM

    | PHOTO 1 | PHOTO 2 | PHOTO 3 | PHOTO 4 |

And more up-to-date ones... well, taken at the beginning of the year posted at JWfan.net

That is one awesome collection, I love the walls with the posters, makes you remind you're in movie-heaven. Just a few feet away from film score heaven!!

No seriously how can anyone compare with this! I have only a shamefully small selection when I look at yours, haha punk

Come on guys... this isn't about the size of your collection. I just thought it would be neat to see what our CD collection looks like... big or small.

    Wow! Those look very neat!

Erik's place especially looks like a film score fans' paradise! cool

It's not very clear but it looks like none of those shelves (Erik, Thor, DreamTheater) are covered. Is dust not a problem then?

My collection is in boxes. Some of them are in the standard photocopy-paper boxes and others are in laptop boxes. An ugly solution, I know. But if you've been moving from apartment to apartment then it's just easier to leave them in boxes.

Yes, there is dust, and it's difficult to swipe off the shelves behind the CD's etc. But not that big of a problem, as long as the CD's are safe inside their case.

It would be out of the question for me to have them in boxes. That shelf and those CD's are as much a piece of furniture as my sofa or dinner table, so it needs to be displayed properly.
    I am extremely serious.

I don't know for Eric, but my brother actually has doors he can close, so that he can keep the dust or thieves away from what's really hiding tongue

But that also means you can't see what he has until you open the door, works positive and negative if you look at it

Haha that's right, thieves will never guess what's beyond those closed doors, they'd be like, what's this? some CD of music out of a film? what the crap is this? I'm not stealing that! Let's take his blu-rays instead!!!

Agreed, proud to keep them all in top condition, some of the scores are years old, yet look totally new, boxes hardly scratched at all... And I shudder to think how devastated I would be if there was ever a fire in the house. To lose most of them, if not all, I don't think I'd ever recover.
