After the plotting comes the planning, that's a fact.
I'm planning a plot
You guys are such a hoot!
I'll extend the train with some crappy verse--
The Family Plot
A pot and a pan fell madly in love
And planned to start a family--
“We’ll procreate with lust, despite our rust
Even if the idea is unsound practically”
But alas, their union was thwarted, and license revoked
With an outdated city noise ordinance invoked.
So they plotted and planned a family plot
To increase the numbers of their lot.
The pot grew a plant, and the pan got an implant
Soon their plants embraced and joined as one
And offsprings sprang shortly before summer.
Their plan had worked, and their work was done!
“We couldn’t produce a T-Fal set
But delighted we are at our tea-tree”
They grew in every direction they could get
Until their size irked the Bureau of Forestry.
“That’s enough”, screamed Officer Bob-Dee-Hech
“Consider this as your final warning.
I could have you evicted. Instead, I shall
sentence you to mandatory family planning”
With copious tears and snips and shears
They planned and plotted a family plan
To cap their numbers at forty-two.
But thanks to a horrific mutation
They now feed on Flesh+Blood
Beware, Officer! They’re out to get you! -

A bit of a mix today:
Lombardi - David Robidoux
A synth score to an NFL Films documentary on Vince Lombardi, best known (in the US I would imagine) as head coach of the Green Bay Packers American football team, and who the NFL Super Bowl trophy is named after. I like Robidoux's adrenaline-fueled approach to these sports documentary films - his choice of synths and his reliance on nothing too patriotic. I've listened to some of Sam Spence's work on these types of documentaries and they are just a bit too patriotic for my tastes.
Ivan The Terrible - Sergei Prokofiev
I already have the Leonard Slatkin/St Louis Symphony Orchestra selection of tracks that's available on a Vox Box 2-CD set (along with some tracks from Alexander Nevsky and Lieutenant Kizheh (or however it's spelled), but after hearing the Strobel/Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin "complete score" to Alexander Nevsky and how much great music I'd missed listening only to the Vox Box selection I decided to find an expanded version of Ivan The Terrible. I was torn between the Fedoseyev/Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (Nimbus Records) version and the Polyansky/Russian State Symphony Orchestra (Chandos Records) and there were glowing reviews for both versions. But, in the end, I went for the latter release (partly because it also featured a 20 minute suite from Prokofiev's Ballad of An Unknown Boy). Now I need to put aside a big chunk of time to listen to this. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I'm still searching for more Scandinavian scores. They are usually a bit expensive and hard to find. Any help will be much appreciated.... Luckily, I found my favourite Nilsson score for a fairly cheap price. -

The concept idea. It's not C&C. First disc is the 1994 album. Third disc is an "inspired by" disc. Second CD contains some previously unreleased tracks, but not everything. Plus, it seems to be organized for listening experience.
So three listening experience CD's.I am extremely serious. -

I'm intrigued by the "inspired by" disc? I've seen it about for cheap so I should pick it up.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

I listened to the three discs before deciding on whether to get the 3CD or 1CD, and suffice it to say that the extra music on discs 2 and 3 didn't win me over. Disc 2 is very boring IMO and disc 3 is a tad more interesting, but I'm just not a Vangelis fan, so the 12 original tracks are enough for me.
The only other things I have by Vangelis are that BR orchestral arrangement thingie, and Alexander (which I do like a lot)."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Vangelis is one of the greatest, most influential figures in modern musical history and it's pretty much undeniable.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
