Being the webmaster of a film music website is cool. I got this e-mail some weeks ago, from Spanish (female) film composer Zeltia Montes. She sent me her score for Pradolongo and a nice letter, and I promised her to create a thread and give her work some attention.

So I got to hear Pradolongo and I've listened to the score now a few times and I must say it's a little lovely score. The main theme is cute, quite memorable as I kept it humming it for some hours after having my first listen. Mostly I think it's a charming romantic score, one which I'll play on nice summer evenings, with some dramatic features and a warm instrumentation with guitar on the forefront, added with instruments I couldn't translate.

Anyone knows her work? Marselus perhaps?

Cool! That sounds more like my kind of music.
Checked SAE and it's a little on the pricey side. Perhaps I should ask if she can send a cd to SST for us to sample at greater length.
  1. Nice Bregt, get in contact with the ladies smile
Hope to see a review here soon

Thanks for the review James, as I just posted on your site, I bought the score because of it. And I don't buy many scores lately so that's saying something.

  7. 500 people must have heard it - the limited edition run seems to have been sold out at Quartet Records. However, SAE are selling a copy for $1.95!

Sold out vs. clearance sale item - mixed messages?

Personally, I find the short clips a bit annoying. Not really a style I enjoy much.

I bought it when it first came out. Lovely, infectious, fun score that I enjoy a lot.
Although its children's animation indeed roots clearly show, the score is sunny and upbeat enough to retain my interest.

Admins, any idea why this review is not being indexed highly by google? It's very possibly the only review of this album on the entire internet, but it won't come up when I google the name of the film with "soundtrack' and "montes". Maybe you don't want google bringing it up in order to lower traffic / bandwidth, but for me it would be nice if it were easy to find on google like filmtracks etc reviews are.

  8. Different terms can bring up different results. Just imagine the difference between searching:

But it's even appearing now with my original search and I swear to every major and minor deity it was not there before. shocked

I was looking for a review because I bought it from SAE for $0.50 and wanted to know if it was going to be worth the time spent listening to it, which it apparently is. It baffles me why some of these MSM releases get almost completely ignored.
