    So I've finally got my new phone, but the signal strength is piss poor. We've got another iphone in the household which is completely fine though. Does anyone know why this might be? confused crazy

    Yeah.
    It's a a known bug in both the 3G and the 3G S.
    "Signal strength is uneven".
    I found some juryrigs for the 3G, but not the 3G S.

    Most people simply go back to their provider.

    This, I guess, is the price the hopelessly hip should be willing to pay. slant

    Two incredible discoveries on the iphone today:

    1 - The phones have both an FM receiver and transmitter, Apple simply haven't turned them on yet (a firmware update will be needed to do this). Not only does this mean eventually we will be able to pick up radio, but also transmit music straight to the speakers in the house, or even better - to the car stereo while driving!!

    2 - http://iphone.tvcatchup.co.uk - I'm still gobsmacked how this works. Even on a 3G connection, it streams perfect quality TV to your phone in mere seconds. I don't know if this is legal with the license fees in the UK, but right now I'm too surprised to care!

    It's a great gadget. The problem with it are the ridiculous prices with all apple products and they way they market it, as the greatest invention since the wheel. Of course is cool but i am not playing their games.

    I want one. I am not dying for one though...But only if i find one, possibly used in good condition and in very low prices. 'Cause i am not jumping onto anyone's bandwagon and playing their game with my hard-earned and limited sadly money. The rest of the world is doing that, making him the cleverest perhaps man on earth right now and a rich son of a b*tch. I am hoping that now that the new one is coming out, the prices on 3gs new and used will drop rapidly.
