There are no two Goldenthal tracks that follow each other, it's constantly interrupted by songs -

Yeah, but knowing Mann's superb track record in album production, I have high hopes that everything flows together nicely! Can't wait!I am extremely serious. -

Hopefully the MIAMI VICE soundtrack album - perhaps the least part of the excellent 2006 film - was a blip on the radar.
Given the use of digital look to establish a hyper-real environment, it stands to reason that there would be a great deal of source music in the film.A butterfly thinks therefore I am -

Score. Film is brilliant in its own terms as well.
It's an enjoyable score for sure but a masterpiece???
If the score for Gladiator is a master piece than I am Mickey Mouse.
"How dare he!"
Nah, I'm with you. -

Considering Mann's hisotyr with composers on his films, we (and Goldenthal) should be lucky he actually made it.The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Sounds like 16 minutes of quite low-key Goldenthal. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I think the only score I'm really looking forward to more is Horner's Avatar. This is top of the list stuff for me too, proven by the fact that I've pre-ordered the CD without hearing anything beforehand (which used to be quite commonplace when I started collecting scores... but very rare these days). The other score I'm equally as excited about is Christopher Gordon's Daybreakers.
Even if they don't reach expectations, the very fact that these two composers are producing new scores is exciting a prospect enough! -

Anthony has watched the film, but didn´t talk about the score in the Recent Viewing thread. So, Anthony, how was it like and how did it fit the movie? There were a lot of songs, as is usual with Mann´s movies?Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

PE is one of those films that doesn't really have that much music, so when it does it's usually big dramatic stuff. There are at least two themes (one for JD and one for Billie) and some cool suspense cues. It was all very good, and while probably not the best score of the year it's definitely one of the most interesting ones. -
