That looks like a really handsome compilation Kevin, I like it!

My only quibble is that I'd have gone for Flying Over Africa from Out of Africa.....but that's only because I'm a Barry fan boy and love that track more than the main title cool wink

What can I say...great tracks. It's hard to say how they flow together as an album, but I'm sure it does. smile
    I am extremely serious.

I'm looking forward to creating a playlist with the tracks and sequence above but I have a strong feeling that some of the cues need to be arranged in a different order for a better listening experience.

Surely 'The Great Eatlon' suddenly cuts off at the end? Did you edit it Kevin?

    (Good selection btw. Damn good.)

The cue ends at about 4:40.

Um, well... yeah. But it's not a self-contained cue, it runs from and to other tracks (i.e. 'The Healing'>'The Great Eatlon'>'End Titles'>'The Times They Are A-Changin'), so if you've chosen just that one track, you're gonna get a sudden start and a sudden end to the piece. Hence why I asked if you edited it in any way.

Hey Kevin - Just wanted to give you some feedback on the your compilation. I finished listening to it today and I have to say that my initial reaction to the sequencing was waaaay off. The set plays rather well. However, I will say that the two lengthy cues from Legend of the Falls and Return of the King do unfortunately ruin the flow. They are far too long for a compilation of this sorts. I would maybe think of editing out the first half of "Alfred, Tristan, The Colonel, The Legend" and begin the track with the violin solo that opens the end credit suite. As for Return of the King, I'd ditch "The Fellowship Reunited" and use "The Breaking of the Fellowship" from the original The Fellowship of the Ring album.

Also, The Great Eatlon from Lady in the Water needs to be edited. You need to create a custom edit that includes the last 10 seconds of The Healing - fade up from the strings into The Great Eatlon - let the track play in its entirety - let it continue into the End Titles - play the End Titles in its entirety and then fade out with about 5 seconds left in the track.

I also would have picked a better cue from The Black Dahlia. "Dwight and Kay" or "At Norton and Coliseum" would have been better selections.

As for The Mission Suite - did you use The Yo Yo Ma performance?

With all that being said what you compiled makes for a very pleasant listen.

    Erik,

Thank you for your input so far.

I'm working on a new one CD (shorter track cues and more of them).

No. Trek III is not in my top three favourite Trek scores. (On album at least, I honestly can't see what's so superior about it over Trek II??)
