Some great selections there, Joep. SMULTRONSTÄLLET is my favourite Bergman film, while TILSAMMANS and DE OFRIVILLIGA are among the best Swedish films in recent years. CENTRAL DO BRASIL is pretty good too.
    I am extremely serious.

Viskningar och Rop is my favourite. I agree on the two Swedish films. But Central do Brasil isn't really that good. It's still above average, but I think it's the concept of a roadmovie that (usually) doesn't work for me anymore.

No you don't. It's the R2 UK release but you misplaced it and now it's gone AWOL. Better wait for the blu-ray.

I haven't seen Road, Movie. Now, I've watched quite a few road movies from a great variety of countries, but they usually end up being nothing more than just slightly above average. Like said before, it's the concept that often doesn't work really that good. Some of the exceptions are The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Aaltra and The Straight Story. So I try to avoid them as much as possible.

One of my favourite road movies: Thelma & Louise, those feisty gals in a sweet Ford Thunderbird going on a sand and dust filled trek thoughout the U.S., with Zimmer's wonderful guitar melodies on the background. beer

It's been too long since I've seen it.

I think The Secret Service was the last 'Supermarionation' show that Anderson did? I've only ever seen bit of it.

Yep it was Timmer . It also made extensive use of live action segments . It was probably Anderson's least successful series , but I love it . A shame only 13 episodes were made ! It's been a while since I last saw them so I'm really looking forward in sitting down and watching them again ... smile

With a score by the great Barry Gray and the vocal talents of the legendary Stanley Unwin. Just wondering, does he speak any 'Unwinese' in the show?

I love it when he speaks Unwinese, if memory serves me correctly the late great raconteur and star of 'Carry On' films Kenneth Williams was one of the very few who was fluent in Unwinese.
