I think Alan is the only (regular) visitor accessing the site through Safari, are you not, Alan?
Maybe it's something browser-specific? (I gather there are quite a few compatibility issues still surrounding Safari).

Not Safari, Martijn. But I do use Opera, Chrome and IE8 and it all tends to be slow here at MT.

I'll need to check when I get back home whether I've checked the box that clears out cookies...

  2. Bregt, if you get too many donations you could maybe set up a beer fund for the next MT meeting? wink

I try the site in Safari and Opera (which i think Alan uses) and both work smooth here. Opera is a very fast browser.

Bregt, is it faster than Google chrome?
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

    dizzy Bregt!

Even if you make a "profit" (i.e. donations exceed the current cost): there's always next year: park any excess funds in a savings account to accumulate interest. Costs will probably be up next year, so it's good to have a buffer.

Also, it's not unlikely at some point extensions are needed for the site which may require specialized software.,..which will cost money!

Yes, I understand this site is a labour of love, but you find that there are some people that are happy to contribute to that in the best/only way they can, because they're -in some way- benefiting from the site.

To discourage any further payments not only isn't good for the future of the site (a small, steady stream of income would be way better than a yearly drive!), but also takes your customers' option away for showing appreciation!

Hehe. Yes, well. I'm so happy with this generous support that I'd felt a bit ashamed if I'd ask more.

But I will put it all in the MainTitles.net Fund, which I will use for the coming years.

Holy! Martin (Tintin) joins in the funding, and throws in a very generous amount too! We'll have enough for almost two years now (and beer!).

I told some friends how supportive you as a community were, by donating, and they told me I was very lucky.

    biggrin I demand a recount.

Well, after enjoying Scorereviews and Maintitles for so many years, the least I can do is to offer an hour of my working time to a good cause, no? Thank you for your work Bregt.

So you can drink some more tonight! "Although beer is low in proteins, it contains all essential and many non-essential amino acids. Beer is thus perfectly suited as a dietary supplement in a low-protein diet. Because of this, beers from 100% malt are superior to beers from unmalted cereals (corn, rice, etc.). "
