Interesting how those brilliant works aren't on the list:
BAARIA
AGORA
A SINGLE MAN
DIE PÄPSTIN (POE JOAN)
MAO'S LAST DANCER
EFFI BRIEST
Goes to indicate something on the geographical region of most people's interests in film music, it seems?
Exactly, I've only heard of Agora, but I couldn't tell you the composers of any of the above. So it's not that surprising.
I don't mind the composers' names, but it's really a shame you haven't heard those scores yet. And they have been mentioned quite a lot in this forum too.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

^ Not everyone has the access to all of these scores the way we do Demetris. You can't hear them all unless you have deep, deep pockets or have access to promos.

(everybody else have other means of accessing material too, no matter if we like turn our heads the other way. Plus Morricone's Baaria, Soderqvist's EFFIE BRIEST, DIE PÄPSTIN (POE JOAN) are hardly hard-to-find material. In fact they were pretty major releases this year)
And there's the other thing, i strongly get the sense some times that many people read the forums like this:
blah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahZIMMERblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahHORNERblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahWILLIAMSblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blahSILVESTRIblahblah blah blahblah blah blahGIACCHINOblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blahblah blah blah
etc.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

The knowing is a good score too; doesn't that count?
it is a good score, especially in the film, but I can't call this a 5 star rated score, nor even a 4 star rated one, which most of the other scores in the top 10 list are
so, I find it weird it's therewaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

He, he...yeah, except there isn't THAT much Williams talk, and you'll have to add Brian Tyler and some more MV/RC guys.I am extremely serious. -

Unfortunately Yes! It's a shame that this board is so limited when it comes to talking about various composers and hot darnit there are loads but what can you do about it? The majority here like MV / RC type stuff plus an emphasis on Horner, Tyler, Giacchino etc etc etc .......On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Yes, but the usuall emphasis is. Zimmer sucks, Horner's great, Tyler should branch out more, Giacchino?? OMG!!!
We could use more discussions on Goldenthal, Goldsmith, Barry and the European side.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

There's not much that can be done. I've more-or-less given up mentioning little-known titles I've come across because I know that the level of interest is not going to be there for the majority of people. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -
