Imagine the scenario. You are in charge of the American release of the BBC series Planet Earth. You can't use David Attenborough's narration because Americans don't know who he is. Instead, you are contractually obliged to use someone from the William Waldegrave Talent Agency, which represents ten famous voiceover artists.
The question is: who would you pick?
There are, of course, some rules. You are ONLY allowed to pick someone from the roster of the William Waldegrave Talent Agency and it represents ONLY the following ten people.
John Huston
Margaret Thatcher
Michael McLennan
Ronnie Corbett
Harbajan Singh
Robert Kilroy Silk
Cliff Thorburn
Robert Mugabe
Dr Hillary Jones
Carole King
This poll is very important and will therefore remain open until all 353 members of Maintitles have voted. Like elections in Belgium, voting is required. -

My vote: Dr Hillary Jones -

I'd have to go with someone of the stature of Ronnie Corbett. I'm sure he has a bit of a following in the US through BBC America? The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Apparently WWTA has just signed Ellard Davis, so that would be my vote.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

This is all going in your FBI file, I hope you realise. Rule-breaking is not permitted. -

Nobody would hold voting for an American Institution against me.
In fact, while *I* will probably get the John Wayne Seal Of Approval, all of you will go against the wall once you land on JFK.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Margaret Thatcher but only if she can try to sound like James Earl Jones. -

I'm confused. Who is William Waldegrave? Is this thread a joke reference to a discussion in another thread?I am extremely serious. -

I always thought Benny Hill would make a great Doctor Who, I could just imagine him being chased by Daleks ( all speeded up of course ) and with a Benny Hill'ified Doctor Who theme tune.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -
