The (accidental/subconscious) borrowing thread? :P
I just bought the BattleForge soundtrack. Halfway through it started playing a familiar track. I almost thought iTunes had somehow set itself to shuffle. It took me a moment to place the tune. Listen to these two, both main themes:
-Battleforge: "Lords of the Skies" (First 2 minutes)
-Blazing Angels: "Main Theme"
Is that a coincidence? Possibly, but maybe not.
You guys have any similar examples? -

Aha! I was sure there was a topic already, I just couldn't find it by that title. Thank you. -

Someone at IMDB pointed out what full minute from what Zimmer cue & score (I forget which) was used in what cue from "Avatar". Shocking an entire ripped minute.
Anyway, my friend Hubai runs a blog on scores where he interviews composers, does other nifty features; one section on his site is called "Twins", which is on this very subject, and he provides samples for comparrison:

I think this thread should be called "I've read this before".

Yup. Erik called it.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn
