    Continuing to explore the rich and astounding qualities of Spanish film music, MovieScore Media proudly presents the colourful, exciting and very stylish score for Shiver (original title: Eskalofrio) by Fernando Velázquez. The composer came to international prominence with his highly effective and very beautiful horror score, The Orphanage, which earned him a Spanish Music Award and a European Film Award nomination. His music for Shiver makes use of very expressive instrumentation which makes the compositions constantly interesting.

    This is a dark musical journey with a lot of frightening dissonance and aggressive orchestral writing, but with the same kind of musical elegance that graced The Orphanage.

    Wow, great news. Does it also share some of those mesmerizing, sad and beautiful pieces the orphanage had or is it plain darkness and dissonance (which can never be "plain" for me, but you get my question i assume smile )

    There are some of that, but I believe there was more of it in The Orphanage!
  5. After having listened to Shiver I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with it. I must have had my fill of brooding, atmospheric scores with the occasional shock musical passage because I felt that I had heard this style of composing a bit too often.
