Rambo? Solaris?! I know he produced it, but that's quite stretching it. -

Same here. Totally out-there; a very marginal involvement for those two. There are still others they could have included that were actually DIRECTED by him, like Donaggio's PIRANHA 2 (or was that Cipriani?) and McNeely's GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS.I am extremely serious. -

Actually, he wrote Rambo II. Too bad there isn't anything from Strange Days or Dark Angel on this set.

as we know most of this is recycled material and the key of course is the orchestration being written. I'm not sure how many are new.listen to more classical music! -

9. Aliens - Prelude / Ripley's Rescue (James Horner)
If it's the same recording found on the Space 3 album, and the recent Horror music film collection from Silva, This will make me cringe once again. The opening credits which were so well done by the LSO are completely raped by the Prague Philharmonic. Horrible, I always imaginarily
a little when I hear it."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Yup! Same cue. I really think that Tadlow/Silva should start re-recording EVERYTHING now that they seem to have gotten there stuff together concerning performance and sound. The Film Music 2009 album is really really good (minus the Star Trek suite)

Exactly... I was hoping the Aliens suite would be brandnew on the 4CD Horror compilation, since it was a good 10 years since its first recording on the Space 3 compilation. Imagine the look on my face when I heard that same opening. Again.

I really don't mind all that anymore; it makes good money for them, I hope, money they'll use to fund great rerecordings like Guns of Navarone and El Cid. Or is that all Fitzpatrick?
Plus, once in a while we actually get some unreleased music through them! (Like some John Barry tracks and scores, or the excellent concert versions of Prisoner of Azkaban.) -

The re-recordings are Fitzpatrick on his Tadlow label.
I think the reuse of the orchestrations on multiple CD's is critical to pay for them.
