Wow, Intrada just released one of my holy grails - Di Cola's music to ROCKY IV. Ordered in a heartbeat.
http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.6605/.fI am extremely serious. -

I was interested to hear the clips when this was announced - I hadn't come across this version of Rocky before.
But I had a "Marmite moment" as soon as I heard the '80s electronica - I didn't like it at all!The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

By the way, what happened to Di Cola? Between this and TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE, he was a talented fellow in the Faltermeyer/Moroder/Foster category.I am extremely serious. -

And it's here!!!
This, along with Horner's AVATAR, is the only non-Williams/Elfman/Goldenthal soundtrack I've bought these last few years. That says something about how much of a fan I am. It's just as good as I had expected, one good, self-sufficient piece after the other, arranged wonderfully as a coherent listening experience. Love them delicious, funky grooves. And melancholic piano bits.I am extremely serious. -

Isn't Rocky IV a C&C release?

I don't know. Could be. But it's still a nice listening experience, 30-something minutes, nice segue from melancholy to action, many self-sufficient pieces. It's not your average soundtrack album. It could be one of those few scores that lend themselves more easily to a C&C presentation.I am extremely serious.
