Apparently, he's a very well known Polish composer, whom i've heard of just now.
His 2010 score for Różyczka is a romantic blend where Zbigniew Preisner meets Eleni Karaindrou and everyone goes the film noir jazzy way in some parts..lovers quality melody and romantic melancholy typical of Polish film composers, but with a more modern, jazzy take on things, will absolutely fall for this. Recommended.

Lorenc is a very popular composer in Poland and did one Hollywood score for a Bob Rafelson thriller (Blood and Wine). His most popular score remains Bandyta (the Bandit) a heartfelt, emotional amazing work to a drama about an ex-convict finding out about a gang of children selling people in a Romanian foster home. It's more of a drama than an actioner. The score is Slavic dramating writing with some Gypsy elements, fully orchestral.
Lorenc himself his completely self-taught guy and a very seeked out composer in Poland. He wrote some of our most popular scores, when it comes to popularity in Poland proper, it would be, I think:
1. Wojciech Kilar
2. Krzesimir Debski
3. Michal Lorenc
when it comes to Polish composers. I thinkhttp://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Michal Lorenc - Psy 8/10
Psy 2: Ostatnia Krew 8/10
Prowokator 8/10
Exit in Red (Osaczony) 8/10
Blood and Wine 9/10
Bandyta 9/10
Symetria 10/10

Daleko Od Okna 9/10

I need to explore Nic, Przyjaciele, Zakochani, Kroll and Deborah a little more before I can make my final judgment. -

It's absolutely beautiful, his music.
Hows' Krzesimir Debski like? I don't know him either. Also wouldn't you put Preisner in the list of tops too?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Yeah, I would think that Preisner and the late Krzystow Komeda would belong on that list too. And Korzeniowski as the new hot shot! Or perhaps they're not as famous in their home country as abroad?I am extremely serious. -

In Poland Preisner's not that popular, especially that he isn't really working on Polish stuff so much as he did before.
Preisner's huge album popularity might have ended with the death of Kieslowski and the releases to the Trois Coleurs trilogy. I would imagine that his MOST popular albums would be Double Life of Veronique and The Secret Garden.
Korzeniowski isn't also a quite big name in Poland proper yet. The projects he did right here weren't among the popular ones.
Kilar and Debski for example scored the biggest blockbusters we've had in their respective years and there were popular songs connected to those scores - in case of Debski, it was his composition.
Debski is an interesting composer, whose craft I appreciate greatly, but I hate his score releases. While the writing is on a very high level and interesting, due to the man's roots in jazz (which influence his harmony writing - his action tends to have lots of atonality too at times) and has great themes. The CDs are released in a weird way, because he makes those breaks, so you can literally have 3-4 second break in the middle of a cue and suddenly get a startling atonal orchestral hit and a repeat of this pattern.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

While I can imagine lots of people can hum the famous Lullaby, I think right now Komeda is a very overlooked composer. He was a kind of star in 50s/60s, when he was one of the biggest jazzmen of the period when jazz was ceasing to be illegal (yes, it was for a while), but right now I don't think a film music fan starting recently (think Pirates of the Caribbean/Gladiator listener "generation") would even know that name, I'm afraid.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Debski - Ogniem i mieczem, DEFINITELY - his epic score, then we'll go from there
Komeda - obviously Rosemary's Baby. Knife in the Water, if released, and The Fearless Vampire Killers (Rosemary's Baby and Killers are on the same release if I remember well)http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

And if you like Ogniem, you will enjoy another similar score called Stara Basn - Kiedy Slonce Bylo Bogiem. I like W Pustyni I W Puszczy a lot, but I know a lot of Polish filmmusic fans who disagree. Like Lorenc his musical palette can sometimes be slightly ugly. So that score is a bit risky. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with Stara Basn and Ogniem i Mieczem. In fact, I consider them to be two works of art.

I agree on the Komeda picks. If you want to explore a large part of his career one should start listening to the ''complete recordings of Komeda'' volumes, released by Polonia. -
