    I just learned (and was quite shocked, actually) that composer Geoffrey Burgon has passed away, at age 69.

    I've always loved his stuff, and the Silva compilation of his film and TV themes is one of my most-played CD's (it includes the sublime BRIDESHEAD REVISITED and NARNIA TV show):

    To my shame I only own 'Robin Hood' of Mr. Burgon on original CD but I know many of the themes he wrote for TV . Still , 69 is a young age to leave the ones you love behind ... RIP Mr. Burgon ...

    I own the same CD as Thor, very sad to hear about this.
    On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt
  4. Very sad. The Forsyte Saga will play today in my car, in his honour. (Although that's much less than he deserves.)
