Tomandandy hits no.1 place in last.fm for RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE score.
The proud owner of the #1 position this week goes to Tomandandy. Known for their film and advertising soundtracks, the duo have recently gained attention due to their work on the Resident Evil: Afterlife soundtrack. You can stream and download some of their work on their Last.fm page.

Just watched "The Apparition" which has a Tomandandy score and one that dominates the movie heavily. I found their team up with Badalamenti on "Arlington Road" most satisfactory back in the day and have followed their output now and again. If you like sample/drumbeat/loops heavy scores, IMO they are the best at this type of score and always have the best and 'most dope' samples, it never sounds dated. I think I'll be getting the Varese album.
The movie itself is entertaining but a rehash of Poltergeist, The Ring, The Grudge... and honestly last year's "Insidious" did this better and was more creepy. Apparition apparently got held back two years by Warner before releasing it, I wonder when they scored it! -

Their score for MEAN CREEK (not a horror movie) was fantastic. -

Thanks! I will do watch it 'cause my wife adores this kind of movies. As for Insidious, it was a bloody fantastic horror movie wasn't it? Bishara's score for that one was very effective too.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Insidious is one of the best horror movies I've seen in a long while and it kept me on the edge of my seat until the last frame. I got the Bishara score last week (nice digipak design) and while creepy and effective, it's a hard listen (much like The Exorcist).
The Apparition kinda loses its momentum halfway through, but still some eerie setups and it reminded me of 'the entity' in places.
I think it's refreshing to see these type of horror movies made again, doesn't always have to be blood and guts, these supernatural stories are usually more unnerving. Can't wait to see Sinister on that note.
