Yesterday I added the ability to be able to put mp3's on my wordpress but for the life of me I can't get a link that I can click in the article so people can hear the clip. I converted the files, put them on my desktop, uploaded them to wordpress but then nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Anyone who is familiar with WordPress maybe you can help me?
I don't seem to be able to use the "add a link" function to blog today. When I highlight some text (a date in the "Ten Tracks Today" page that I want to link to the post) and click on the link button nothing happens. I can't seem to be able to use the linking button on any page.
I have contacted their support but in case I get no response I was wondering if either anyone could help solve my problem or maybe say if they are having the same problem?

Everything seems to be okay using IE. The problem seems to be when I use Chrome. I usually use Chrome for administrating the blog so something has "broken" somewhere! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I found the publication Wordpress for Dummies to be very helpful.

I'm awaiting some feedback from WordPress. It is funny, but everything seemed to work fine when I tried Internet Explorer. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Do you have an option to add the link via HTML?

I should do. There is a tab for HTML. But from what I recall, the option was grayed out.
I will stick with IE for the time being and keep revisiting the site with Google. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

You sure it was due to Chrome and not that it just happened when using thay browser? Did you get some sort of error.message? The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

So, all the images have gone missing from www.movie-wave.net - only, they're not really "missing" so far as I can tell. If you navigate to them specifically, they're there - but they don't appear where they should on the home page or in the reviews.
Anyone got any ideas why they're not appearing? -

It was a mysterious problem with the "timthumb" script that I use, if anyone's interested. This is one of those bizarre IT things that I will never understand - the script has remained unaltered since I introduced the Wordpress part of my website and worked perfectly for two years but then suddenly stopped working, even though it was the same script. How does that sort of thing happen? -

Did you update something recently in Wordpress? For instance, install and update a plug-in or Wordpress itself? Sometimes these sorts of updates can screw around with various personal tweaks you might have made to your site or to your Wordpress theme.

I read about that.
Many plugins depend on built-in functionality of Wordpress or address codes used by other plugins as well.
Update one thing, you impact the other.
Happens to me a LOT.
Very frustrating and requires quite a bit of proper administration and bookkeeping (I have all my style.css files backed up for that very reason).'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Nope, it's all in the admin panel. Wordpress is nice enough though to upload the plugins on its own.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Can any one help me out with this problem?
I need to back-up my entire site because I need to move it to a new server. However, the backup plug I have been using has started spitting out the following error.
"BackUpWordPress has detected a problem. wp-cron.php is returning a connect() timed out! response which could mean cron jobs aren't getting fired properly. BackUpWordPress relies on wp-cron to run scheduled back ups. "
What the hell in a wp-cron and how do I fix it?
