Is his name real? It looks like the two names together could combine to "Victories" or "Victorious."

Having not seen the film but under the impression it all takes place inside a coffin, how does it carry all that action music?

Brilliantly. I saw it at the cinema and it created , along with the excellent acting, visuals and narrative of course, but also the impressive sound design, a very claustrophobic and intense feeling. The action cues fit the story perfectly, no matter how odd it sounds on premise.

I had the same feeling as Anthony before watching the film: how the hell can fit all these action cues in a story set inside a coffin for an hour and a half? After seeing it, I totally agree with D.

After initial reports on the film, I actually thought it only had a maintitles scoretrack and that the rest would be unscored, and I thought it would be a very smart move. But Reyes proved me wrong; the music really fits in extremely well and gives the film its own sound. Very good score.

Yeap! Didn't you feel like getting up and shouting anxiously during the climax of the movie? I thought it was brilliant, if you told me before such things and feelings for a movie in a coffin, i'd never believe it. But Reyes did a great job portraying those emotions and passing them onto the audience too.

Well, I was with an audience that already did that 'getting up and shouting' all the way through, including giggling whenever they saw Paul cry, so I was basically pressed to my chair up untill the end blocking that kind of shouting, but yeah, the ending was incredibly enraging!

To be honest, I was already waiting before someone would attempt such a film after I heard of another kinda similar project that didn't dare to go all the way; same concept, yet not constantly inside the coffin and with subplots. I was kind of disappointed with that approach, and the moment I heard of BURIED, I knew it would be special. Very glad they made all the right choices, and they did a brilliant job to keep surprising twists on the premise and keep it interesting (
the snake!
).

Victor Reyes is set to score the upcoming psychological thriller Red Lights. The project reunites the composer with director Rodrigo Cortéz who has worked with Reyes multiple times, most recently on their international breakthrough film Buried starring Ryan Reynolds, which was released last year.
