  1. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE - THE CRANBERRIES

So happy the band got together again and a new album is coming up in february. This album came after the absolutely brilliant 'Bury the Hatchet' and while not as good, it's a fine Cranberries album in every respect. I think Dolores' voice is one of the most unique in the music world, it's a combination of raw fragile and sensitive power. 'Zombie' made me a fan forever.

    NP: ALAN PARSONS PROJECT PLAYLIST

An iTunes playlist I've made containing APP and Woolfson's most haunting, beautiful, melancholic ballads. Seems to fit the mood of the day.
    I am extremely serious.

A CD that many of you would enjoy exploring. Many film composers have studied his orchestral techniques.

It sounded like it at the time, and it certainly seems it turned out to be.
Still a very nice album, though.

I wish everybody would stop talking about port.
    I's got a hankering now....and I'm clean out. sad

I'm not as big a fan of jazz as you, but I love Rypdal. Very moody.

Yesterday I was looking for something else and I ran across an office depot storage box full of cassettes I had completely forgotten about. Since I still have a portable recorder I decided to play a few of them. When I came across Gadfly, a recording with Serebrier conducting the Belgian Radio Symphony, I gathered all my recordings which include material on Naxos, Melodiya, and Chandos and am going to review it.

I've ended up playing nothing today, my eyes and nose ache from sinus infection so much it's too distracting to listen to music slant
