NP: Catch the Spirit - Mostly Autumn

Their major influence is Pink Floyd. The song linked below should be a feast for any Floyd-fan, or prog-rock fan in general:

Brahms Quintet #2 performed by the Alexander String Quartet
    Tom
    listen to more classical music!
  2. Not much of an R&B fan but these two albums I like to listen to when in the right mood:

    Thriller (1982) - Michael Jackson
    Purple Rain (1984) - Prince

I also would like to obtain a best-of-Tina-Turner but I can't decide which of the many albums is the right one.

Are you aware Tom, that the last track, 'All Things' samples John Barry's theme for PETULIA. ( no mention of this on Wikipedia though Bernard Herrmann is mentioned as a sample on one track )

This track was also used extensively throughout the BBC TV series COAST.

One of the prettier things that Sibelius wrote was The Swan of Tuonela. In a fashion of sorts it is a solo concerto for the Cor Anglais. It is actually a movement in his Lemminkainen Suite, op. 22 written in the mid 1890's. For those of you who have never heard it I'm including a link where you can listen to it on you tube.

    NP: STAND UP (Jethro Tull)

Their best album, IMO. I first discovered it in my dad's LP collection with that weird sleeve pop-up effect. Later, I re-acquired it on CD.

  3. No? Highly interested! Is Waters involved in this or is this basically a Gilmour solo project?

Since Waters was not involved in the DIVISION BELL, and this seems to consist of leftover sessions from that period, I highly doubt it.
