New release on September 13rd. Listen to a download and it is pleasant.

    listen to more classical music!
  1. I know that this material is not aimed at the "hardened" film and TV music listener but these BSX re-recordings just really annoy me. I wish they would put their resources into sourcing original versions of these. Many are much sought after - not necessarily ones that are in this list - and would be much more welcomed.

These are original. I'm sure they had no budget to hire a symphony orchestra. There is a nice solo piano by Dennis McCarthy performing his Star Trek:Deep Space Nine. There is a market for this kind of material just not you or a hardened collector which frankly is way too tiny of a market. Silva outsells Intrada 20 to one.

  2. "Silva outsells Intrada 20 to one"? I am sure they do, Tom. But part of that is they release a lot of the same material in 20 different compilations!! wink (Sorry, Tom (and everyone else) I must be in one of those funny moods: the ones where you're not funny!)

I am not sure what you mean when you say original, Tom. I'm talking about the versions used in the actual shows or films when I mean original. Does this release you link to have original versions in that sense (I can't seem to find audio clips to listen myself).

There is no OST material at all. The CD is synthesizer or piano thus the lower budget allowing the release.
