    DONE!

    Wtf, i am too stunned to comment now but what the hell, they saved all the best of material in all aspects (including music) for the end? Season 4 was probably the strongest so far anyway but that outreaches everything that I've ever seen on TV. It's simply phenomenal;

The music? Damn, the last 4 episodes can fill up a whole CD on their own, so much new material, so many new beautiful arrangements of older material, new themes, the freighter theme in all its glory, Desmond and PEnny's glorious rendition, the theme where they get of to the new island, finally being rescued with the heartbreaking celli and violins soli, everything is simply brilliant.

I never expected something of that magnitude and perfection, even from LOST.. .

How insanely cool was the music when Jack was walking upto the coffin right at the end? Those strings were screeching! punk

    I love kiss Michael Giacchino.

Re-play it, they were screeching before too, when Jack was walking to the coffin and just before Ben appeared behind him.

I though How They move the Island a little bit too " silly".

Well, not more silly than a mechanical sounding smoke, or Christian popping out here and there ("You can go now, Michael" rolleyes)...

Well, i think we already established there's something speaking with the dead thingy going on.

Why do you guys think Claire stays in the island (or Christian takes her)? Maybe because she can give birth to children and not die as they told us happens in the island?

Don't even ask me that. I couldn't even begin to tell you. That's probably the most confusing plotline that's ongoing. It's just so freakin' weird! Is Christian alive/the monster/Jacob?! AAAHHHH! dizzy biggrin

And how the fudge that Dharma 'recruit' guy, the original "other" that never gets old (Jonathan was his name?) never gets old (and i suppose the others too?) and how the fudge was he there in the same age always when John Locke was a child?

As for Christian, i know he's pretty deep in it but have you ever thought - besides the "how's", WHY the hell he's monster / dead / Jacob (perhaps)? ?! Why him?

Ah Richard Alpert. Yeah...WTF?! That's some cool beans. I love the scenes where NOTHING makes sense and there's the totally off edge music.

"Hi John, I to show you a couple of neat things."

*pulls out a baseball glove, an old book, a thing with sand in, a compass, a comic book and a knife*

"Now which one of these is yours?

    ....

    ....

No, which one of these things do you own already?"

    WHAT THE...?!

And then Locke had a drawing of Smokey on the wall. dizzy biggrin

They can travel through time at their wish with some kinda device? Remember that espidode in which Charlotte discovers a Dharma logo in Tunisia (I think it´s Tunisia). Damn, I promised I wouldn´t theorize anymore, this is crazy! dizzy spin

That's another thing. Why are they hinting that Charlotte had been "trying to get back to the island". Hmm...

I think the scenes in the Sahara with the polar bear skull and Ben being transported there after turning the wheel are linked somehow...

Yeah, that was epic! Especially smokey!

I have the feeling that Locke is perhaps the most central character of them all.

What's everyones favourite themes from Lost?

I think my top 5 would go:

    1. Freighter - so hopeful and heroic but also incredibly eerie and full of dread.
    2. Ben's - Need I even explain the creepiness in this? And the sad piano version of it really helps sell Ben as actually being a good-guy.
    3. Desmond/Penny love theme - One word - yay!
    4. Locke's - Addictive 4 note chords, plus the secondary theme that shows up in season 3! EPIC!
    5. Traveling theme - Hollywood And Vines etc. I have nothing more to say apart from it's great montage music!

Did you notice how Ben was found at the Sahara Desert with heavy anti-cold clothing and after he killed the two arabs on the horses, he later asked the hot lady at the hotel's reception if the year was 2005 and she confirmed it? That was after he pushed the island, yet?

  1. The traveling theme is so wonderfully old-school.

Yes, he was in the same position as he was at the beginning of "The Shape Of Things To Come". It's pretty safe to say that's where he ended up after getting banished.

Yup. That's the way I understand it, too. But damn you all folks (in a friendly way wink ) - did you have to remind me about Lost? I'm trying desperately to put it out of my mind, since it's so friggin' long until season 5. Oh well. Here go the speculations again biggrin

Me too (although no thesis for me!). I bought the season off iTunes (better quality than torrents) and am highly enjoying it again. There's actually quite a lot more music that's standing out the second time around. I love the quiet version of the Freighter theme which leads into the motif for Keamey at the beginning of "Ji Yeon".

And what's with the score to "Cabin Fever". It's very different from most episodes with tons of dramatic performances of the secondary theme for Locke. cool punk
