MovieScore Media is excited to announce our action-packed CD release of Dominik Scherrer's stirring orchestral music from the popular dinosaur adventure series Primeval. Our album features over 75 minutes of original music from the first three seasons of the show, which has aired in over 30 different countries and had over six million viewers in UK alone during its first year.

Dominik Scherrer (Miss Marple, Scenes of a Sexual Nature) has composed a truly exciting theme for the series, and the underscoring is filled with orchestral excitiment often with a sort of urban drive, intriguing suspense writing and big action set-pieces. The series, which stars Douglas Henshall, Jason Flemyng, Andrew Lee-Potts, Lucy Brown and Hannah Spearritt, was nominated for a Satellite Award for Best Television Series (drama) in 2008 and by BAFTA for its Visual Effects in 2009.

  2. I have this already and from the few tracks I have listened to so far it is a fun listen. I was never a big fan of the show and it is great to hear the music away from the show.

    Of course you did. shame

I'm still thinking way to much in terms of physical media (which retains my preference).
Me, I just pre-ordered it at SAE. smile

  6. I would prefer physical media but downloads tend to be cheaper and have no shipping costs. And, for me, there is no issue with sound quality.

I do sometimes miss the information contained in liner notes - especially for reviews - but keeping costs down is necessary.

Limited Editions are about all I buy that is physical any more.

I have time to troll and go extensively off-topic....but not to review (in any other fashion than a three sentence summary).
So I think I'll just handle this myself. smile

I love this show, and still hope there's a new season confirmed soon.

I remember bits and pieces of the music being very good, other things rather anonymous. Either way, it's about bloody time there was a soundtrack release for this.
    I am extremely serious.

I'll be having me one of these CD's. cool

I've mentioned it before, but the main theme sounds like it's going to turn into Stanley Myers MARTIAN CHRONICLES theme at any second.

I'll give this one a listen
    listen to more classical music!
  12. Goodness, that was loud...and long. I found it wore me down after a while and I lost a bit of my initial enthusiasm for it. I'll need to listen to this again in more manageable chunks before coming down on a better opinion on this one.
