Hard to believe that there is no topic for this forgotten composer from RKO. Well, I guess I'm not surprised. Found a company that still has copies of the original Marco Polo release of his films for Val Lewton in the 40's.

I would prefer topics to be started on composers where there is something to say rather than just being an ad for a store selling CDs that seem to be readily available from other outlets.
Didn't you do a review of Webb's work? Maybe you could put a link to it here? The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I had no idea that it was readily available or I wouldn't have bothered. It got me to dig out the copy I bought in 2000 and revisit it. I knew I had done a review for it but it took me 20 minutes to realize I had done it for Movie Music UK. When I tried to link to it I found that Jon no longer has it on his site. Since we really don't communicate and our situation is at best strained I decided to review it again. When I finish with the review I'll put up the link. As I said I had no idea how common this release was. This was my thought process as scattered as it is. It did get a thread started and a page going. How many different places have it? What is the price?

Finally finished this must have CD for your collection. It is by far the best available recording of Roy Webb material. The Cloud Nine recording has a broader selection of material but it is mono, noisy in parts, and you can hear a bit of the film audio.
