There is certainly a lot of buzz about the Oscar nominated silent film The Artist with its engaging music and endearing characters. Another Oscar nominated silent film is garner attention as well. The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is a silent short film nominated for Best Animated Short and quickly turned into an iPad app. Created by William Joyce (Rolie Polie Olie and Meet The Robinsons) and inspired by Hurricane Katrina, Buster Keaton, The Wizard of Oz, and a love for books, Louisiana based Moonbot Studios created the story using a variety of techniques, including miniatures, computer animation, 2D animation and an original score along with a pastiche to "Pop Goes the Weasel."

Composer John Hunter of Breed Music scored both the short and the app. He is a partner and composer at Breed Music, a Dallas based music production company. He has worked on feature films, shorts, and commercial advertising. Breed's clients include Budweiser, Ford, and Comcast.

Apparently you can watch the whole movie on YouTube:
