PR: Sherlock Series 2 US release (Arnold/Price)

SILVA SCREEN RECORDS PRESENTS
SHERLOCK – Series 2

David Arnold and Michael Price's follow- up soundtrack to the BBC TV hit series

The music for the first series, composed by David Arnold and Michael Price, received BAFTA and Emmy nominations and won an RTS Television Award.

The second Sherlock series aired in the UK beginning in January and averaged 8 million viewers per episode. It will begin airing on PBS May 6th in the US.

“Listening to it you'll find your fingers arching, your brow furrowing with thought, and, wherever you are, you'll feel like Sherlock himself, sitting in his Baker Street chambers solving a dastardly crime ... Kudos to Arnold and Price for creating something that's different to Hans Zimmer's score for the big-screen Downey-er version, and yet quintessentially Sherlock Holmes.” - CultBox TV

Michael Price
Following a successful career as a contemporary dance composer, Michael moved into films in 1996 when the late Michael Kamen invited him to orchestrate electronic sounds for the Paramount movie Event Horizon. This led to a five-year working relationship encompassing a number of highly successful film scores in London, LA and Prague, and concerts in Berlin, New York, San Francisco and Geneva. Michael has worked on a number of major films including the Academy Award winning feature Children of Men, comedy hit, Hot Fuzz, and Quantum of Solace.

David Arnold
David is one of the UK’s leading film composers and is behind the contemporary scores to the updated James Bond franchise – Casino Royale and Day Another Day. He has also penned the scores to a host of blockbuster movies including Stargate, Independence Day and 2 Fast 2 Furious.
