  1. Seeing as he is a 2014 Oscar nominee, I thought it might be a good idea to start a topic for this English composer!

    As such, here is my review is of his score for MR. TURNER, the biopic of the great British landscape painter.

    A great film, no question, but my god the score is grating. Really disliked it. But on the basis on past Oscar decisions, in which a host of truly mediocre scores have been given the nod, I almost expect this to win sadly.
