    I am greatly impressed by two of his scores released this year;

    Gagarin, in collaboration with Evgueni & Sacha Galperine (a spacious emotional hybrid score to a great film) and the first release of the 2017 Looking for Oum Kulthum.

    I became aware of him when he scored Sissako's TIMBUKTU (I actually interviewed Sissako in a live Q&A a few years ago), but glad to see that he's expanding outwards. The Galperines have been interesting to me for a while, but I haven't yet latched on to their stuff strongly enough. Thanks for the headsup, Joep!
