NP:Casino Royale (Arnold)
One of the best movies in the last 10 years, with a score with some sublime tracks.
You Know My name theme, and the love theme are terrific, and a great addition to bond Franchise.
Agree, the best Bond movie ever.
As for the score, for me it´s Arnold´s best in the Bond franchise. The love theme is beautiful and the action stuff is terrific.
Well Im not quite sure if It' his best Bond Score.
I think Tomorrow never dies and The World is not enought are better albums , Imho, but Casino Royale has 5 or 6 stunning tracks.
NP: Empire Strikes Back
My girldfriend bought Empire Strikes back to me. I didn't want tell to her I already have it. So now I have 2 copies.
Anyway, she bought (because it's not easy to find another one, here) the Sony re-compilation.
I can't understand why sony wanted re-compilate the same music, with an inferior package.

NP: Hollow Man - Jerry Goldsmith
Started this a few days ago and only now am I finally finishing it. This is a lot better than I remembered. I'm still in love with the "Isabelle Comes Back" cue and the last two action cues on the album are superb. Some of the best action writing Goldsmith did before his passing! This is a score that I plan to return to more often.
Now moving onto...
Wyatt Earp - James Newton Howard
One of my all time favorite Newton Howard scores. This film has been on TV the past couple of weekends and I find that I can tune into any point in the film and still enjoy it and get involved emotionally! I'm a big fan of the movie and the score it's just absolutely perfect. Everything from the sweeping "Main Title" to the exciting "The Wagon Chase" to the ferocious "O.K. Corral" - it's a dynamite score from start to finish. I love the little Irish touches heard throughout the score especially in "Going To Town" and "Railroad" - and the love theme heard in "The Wedding" is gorgeous as is the sweeping family theme.
Great score!

Two scores I haven't listened to yet, but you've definitely made me want to do that in the near future -

NP - Gladiator - Hans Zimmer
Man, the vocals at the end of "The Wheat" and the theme during the beginning of "The Battle" are terrific!
And "Am I Not Merciful?" is totally breathtaking!!
Totally I've been repeatedly listening to a home-made 12-min suite recently, and I find myself enjoying this score even more than a few years ago, when Gladiator was the first score I had ever listened to. -

N.P. JOHN MUPRHY - Sunshine
Top work, an atmospheric and eerily creepy work of strong emotions; sadly underrated.
I noticed this score rather a lot while watching the film in the cinema but I didn't think the music got released. Is it a bootleg?
it's on iTunes http://rateyourmusic.com/buy?album_id=728161
Is this an official album, Demetris? Or a DVD-rip? I love the music in that movie (which I thought wasn't bad at all by the way) -

We say goodbye to this thread, with a fine score.
HOUSE OF THE FLYING DAGGERS | Shigeru Umebayashi
The love theme is marvellous, including its rendition in the song at the end. Haunting byond words, warm but snowy. A score that captured the mood of this beautiful film very much.Kazoo -

Disagree! Tomorrow Never Dies for my win! Casino Royale was a good action score, but it didn't feel very bond-ish.
