Oh no! Delivery is expected on Saturday. Looks like this is going to go down to the wire. Especially since the delivery is being handled by Yodel.
I may have to get some sort of 'stand in' beer in just in case. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

NO IT WOULDN'T!! They wouldn't be cold enough to drink. Maybe at the end of the chat if it goes on for hours and hours! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Makes sense to do another edition next Saturday, as it will then be one month since the last.
So next meeting is SATURDAY, APRIL 24, at 18:00 (6PM) Norway time. As usual, we have 3 whole hours before the FSM crowd arrives.
I'll see if I can pull out some of my old teenage artwork to show, as previously promised. Otherwise, I was thinking maybe we could pull out a handful of film, music or film music-related books to show, if you have any.
PS. Friday is ALWAYS preferred, at least for me, but I want to accomodate US members - at Maintitles and FSM - once in a while.
Just checked that this is 5pm UK time. We went to BST the other weekend and I am never sure whether or not the clock changes happen elsewhere at the same time. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Clock change is the same everywhere. So it shouldn't be an issue.
Hope you get your beer in time. If it's the type of beers that you've had in the past, they shouldn't be TOO cold. Belgian blondes are not pilsners!I am extremely serious. -

Currently “sacrificing” my Friday. Only one beer, because I have to save myself for tomorrow. A bit irritating, since Fridays are holy, but I’ll get by.I am extremely serious. -

I sincerely apologize. I went to the bathroom, suddenly felt ill, sat down on the warm tiles and basically passed out. It will not happen again. Hope the last 40 minutes were OK regardless.I am extremely serious. -

Glad to hear from you this morning. There was an edge of real concern with those remaining with you not coming back and we could hear you once or twice in the background but we couldn't do anything to help. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Orval in an Orval glass. Then perhaps a Chimay in a Chimay glass. But I am doing the washing up so may limit the amount of glassware to wash up later. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Be VERY careful when washing beer glasses, Alan. Do not use soap, do not use the brush you normally use for dishes. Avoid dishwasher machines. If you have a brush you only use for beer glasses, that's fine. Basically just rinse them thoroughly in as warm water as possible. And obviously - do not use the glass for anything other than beer. Especially not milk.
This is important, because otherwise you will ruin the glaze inside the glass. It will result in the disapperance of foam and carbonization the next time you use it. They will be "ruined" forever.I am extremely serious. -

Thanks Thor. We don't have a dishwasher and only use a cloth rather than a brush. But we do wash glasses in washing up liquid so I may have to modify that aspect of our washing up regime!
BTW, the Trappe Blonde was very nice too. As did my share of the red wine we had.

I can see how collecting glasses could easily become an obsession. As well as these goblet-styled glasses there's also the taller lager/pilsner(?) glasses too. All the glasses that are so delicate are so collectable! The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Yeah, it's important not only to treat the glasses well (per my previous post), but to have a glass for each type of beer. You'll need a tall and slim one for the wheat beer, for example (like I showed you in the chat) and a 'cognac'-type glass for the blondes. Beyond that, it's a little more flexible. I have a german-type glass with a handle for the pilsners, a straight one that I use for IPAs and a dropshaped I use for anything else. Plus a few more.I am extremely serious. -

Hey, I was unable to join, and will probably be unable for some time. Evenings have become sort of a mayhem. Our daugther refuses to sleep since the birth of our son. We spend hours calming, supporting, caring for her, almost every night. She is defenitely not coping well with the new person at home. Stan however is a good sleeper, but the immense energy it costs to put Sien to sleep has been driven us mentally to the limit. Since last week I also need to work again, at home, so it's all very intense. We know it will change and get better at some point, but at the moment we are about to become insane.Kazoo -
