    Intriguing. I have to admit my knowledge of Chinese film music is limited, but it's getting better. There are more out there than just Zhao Jiping and Tan Dun. A few great discoveries in recent years include AERIAL CHINA (Bei Wang), I AM NOT MADAME BOVARY (Du Wei), POSTMEN IN THE MOUNTAINS (Wang Xiaofeng) and THE FLOWERS OF WAR (Qigang Chen).
    I am extremely serious.

    What is intriguing is how such a release, as reviewed quite recently, displays a different, not necessarily new, art that is only getting more common in the gaming industry,

    I was talking about my own knowledge of Chinese film music (which is getting better), not the status quo of their music. Maybe I'm being "fooled" by noticing new, interesting scores recently.

    Fastforwarding, there have be quite a few, newer Genshin Impact releases: some score, some songs, concerts and variations, some by Chen, some by others. Well over a 100 releases since 2020......
  7. I gave up writing about them because I could never be sure what the music was. Which is a shame as there's some really good stuff on many of the albums.

    I stopped at about 30 releases, mostly score, a few conceptual and live arrangements? You?

    Also, I recently stumbled upon a numerous (digital) full game score releases that ran over 8 hours in lenght, all original in context, but cuckoo....
