    6) Loud conversations in trains (in Silence-coupe's, when you're trying to read)
    7) Cigarette smokers
    8) People constantly on the phone / getting called (when you were in a conversation with them)
    9) Children
    10) Employers who are demanding 'experience' for their jobs on offer angry

    07 Logical fallacies
    06 Sexism
    05 People without a sense of humour
    04 False modesty
    03 Errors in grammar and spelling due to laziness or sloppiness
    02 Idiots: morons who -even confronted with information- choose to retain their stupidity
    01 Moral, cultural and ethical relativity: the fear of taking a stance

    ...it's slightly disconcerting to find I could easily have made a Top Twenty... slant

    Seriously though false modesty is as much a way of getting attention as loudness is. It's also a sign of not being able to cope with compliments or positive feedback, which is really annoying as that's a really important part of interaction, especially in the workplace.

    When I say a job is well done, a reponse like "Gee, it was nothing special" makes me think that I either apparently overestimated the project, or got the wrong guy to do it.

    When you're happy to own your shortcomings, own your accomplishments as well.
    That's the only way you gonna present a coherent picture to anyone.
