It's been speculated on for months now but Giacchino just confirmed on Twitter that he's scoring Pixar's Coco. Man refuses to rest. -

So that's three years in a row for Giacchino with three live-action projects and one animated. He's on an absolute roll! -

That's not Giacchino's official site. It's a fan site. This is Giacchino's official site: http://michaelgiacchino.com/Movie Music UK http://www.moviemusicuk.us -

Oh really?
How weird. The "fan site" http://www.michaelgiacchinomusic.com looks ever so much better.
Are you sure?'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Positive. Dan Goldwasser designs and maintains Michael's official site and you can see his company name, Warm Butter Design, at the bottom of the main page of http://michaelgiacchino.com/.
Also, the fact that there are no design credits and no identifying owner information on http://www.michaelgiacchinomusic.com is a dead giveaway that it's not an official site.Movie Music UK http://www.moviemusicuk.us -

Hmmm...must be a very recent development.
I am quite certain Michael Giacchino did not have (another?) site (official or no) until very recently (in fact, my curiosity piqued, I checked the WayBackMachine which indeed seems to bear that out as well).
http://www.michaelgiacchinomusic.com has been around for years and a brilliant fount of eye and ear candy ...and now suddenly there is a different official site (that really rather looks suspiciously like the old "unofficial" site at first blush (although technically a bit less interesting in my layman's opinion)...)
Don't get me wrong: if that is the official site now, then that's what it is. But there certainly seems to a very similar look and feel to the original/old "unofficial" site. Which, if truth be told, I still prefer. If it's not official it's the finest damn 'labour of love' I've ever seen!!'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

i'd take the unofficial site over the 'official' one anyday , as i see them above. Much more well-constructed, designed and material-rich.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Anyway, after seeing the film two days ago i loved the score even more. Such beautiful melodies, and grand themes. Score of the year so far.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

There's also the fact that Dan Goldwasser is a monumental bellend. So I'd rather click on the unofficial site. -

Ohnoes! Due to renovations in 2017 I had no intentions (and no money) for concerts this year (except for WSA). But so many great concerts have been announced (Horner in London, JNH in Antwerp). I hurts! But I hope many can attend and have a great weekend, like some us had last year in London for the Tyler concert.
Was hoping you would be there bregt ^^ I've ordered my tickets to london and for the concert. Wow yes! And my first time in the Roy Albert Hall. Giacchino is probably my favorite composer of this decade... Looking forward to the concert and may be to see some of the maintitles guys!! Tim (from Belgium) -

Anyone got their tickets for the Giacchino concert in London? I chose "print at home", but still haven't gotten any mail containing my tickets (ordered 6 months ago!). The disclaimer in my confirmation mail said, that tickets normally arrive within 14 days of the order date, but it sometimes takes longer. So have you guys gotten yours? -
- CommentTimeAug 31st 2017 edited
No, I haven't (physical tickets). Nor for the Horner concert around the same time. But the JNH concert shortly before it, tickets came ages ago. -

I'm also very jealous, had I not moved to Tanzania a few months ago I would certainly have been there! Frustratingly I am back in the UK a week later and then leave the day before the James Newton Howard concert, such is life!
It looks like an amazing concert, the number of special guests is insane but it's all the newly arranged suites that's most exciting, perhaps they'll be recorded some day. Look forward to reading the reports on here from those who attend, have fun!
