Well whadda you know, I've come up with a new question and it's film music related.

JAMES BERNARD scored the Hammer film BRIDES OF DRACULA in 1960 but due to legal reasons Bernard's score couldn't be used in a later release and was re-scored by JOHN BARRY.

    TRUE or FALSE ?

    biggrin

    bump

And the scores, despite Bregt & Alan popping into this thread still remain...

    FALSE - 4

    TRUE - 2

    I fluffed it! rolleyes shame

I was going to award people who said TRUE! as being correct ( but only sort of ), John Barry scored the movie FOLLOW ME ( aka THE PUBLIC EYE ) starring Mia Farrow, there's two seperate scenes in the film where Farrow goes to the cinema where she watches BRIDES OF DRACULA and FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED, both of which, for whatever legal reasons didn't feature their respective scores and were rescored by John Barry, the problem is is that I said James Bernard scored BRIDES OF DRACULA but he didn't, it was Malcolm Williamson*, so that makes my question nul & void, both true and false.

    Sorry.

*and something Tom spotted straight away.

p.s. Bernard scored Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed.

No idea. Certainly never heard of any Copland involvement with this, and it would be very untypical. So TRUE.
