Yes, that'd be easier for the Europeans. Will still cost a lot though. No low fares?

I don't think any major airline is in low-fares mode anymore, from anywhere to anywhere. Except if you want to fly in a privately owned 25 year old Cessna piloted by a man who splits jobs between piloting-on-hire and a Chineese food restaurant biggrin

It would depend on various things but if I was in London I'd probably be able to put up to three people for accomodation.

Martijn, if it easier for you, what city is best? It's just an afternoon and early evening anyway, so, perhaps closer to your home may suit you better?

Almost 300 dollar. But those are limited flight routes, it's not that you have much options as to choose when you want to leave. smile

Ok, then we only have to arrange a day. I'm all free during weekends in December (except next week), and on Christmas and the day before as well.

  3. I see that return flights to San Diego from UK (I used Manchester as my example) costs at the moment around £320-400: travelling anytime between now and June 2009. But I've not heard of many of the operator, so there's a chance that the carrier will collapse whilst we are out there and we'd be stranded in the U.S. of A.

And I can find a flight from San Diego to the UK for $250 travelling between January 2009 to April 2009.

In my experience the prices quoted can have some hidden extras. But if it's possibly within your budget then have a check around at your end and see if it is possible.
