I watched a few episodes of season 1, and I can't stand the woman who plays Sarah Connor.
Summer Glau is nice though. -

I was thinking the exact opposite!

They´ve definitely cancelled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Hey?
What?
Without resolution?
I'm still in season one, which shows a lot of potential (though the scripts leaves something to be desired, and not all of the characters are as interesting).
I was kinda hoping this one would grow over time.
Season two is an improvement over season one (although the finale of season one was great). Too bad we won´t have a season three.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Earlier this year, composer Bear McCreary recorded his score for the upcoming CAPCOM video game Dark Void with a total combined 63-piece orchestra at the Eastwood Scoring Stage. ScoringSessions.com is pleased to bring our readers the exclusive photos from the brass and woodwind session!

Capcom senior producer Morgan Gray confirmed that Bear McCreary's incredible-so-far Dark Void soundtrack will be getting a standalone CD release.
NO! WAIT! Rein in your narrow attention span for just a bit longer. See, McCreary had been trying to get the fans he acquired during his work on Battlestar Galactica to ask Capcom to release the original Dark Void score on CD -- it seems Capcom got the message. Gray explained that Capcom had actually paid McCreary more for his Dark Void score than Galactica ever did, so why wouldn't they want to put it on CD? That's sound logic -- not to mention sound economics.

Good news, I'll be interested to hear what he came up with.
What's the game about actually?"considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I honestly have no idea. The trailers show some spectacular flying and shooting my some guy in a suit. That's often enough, but I would like some storyline too!
By the way, Caprica sounds a-ma-zing !What do you hear? Nothing but the rain... -

I heard Caprica, and while it lacks a bit more variation during its runtime, it contains a really beautiful theme (though it feels a bit ... distant in the beginning) for one of the families. McCreary takes the string quartet music from BSG and broadens its possibilities here, while the taiko drums are limited to the few pieces action music. There is a connection with BSG through some theming as well (Adama's theme), next to orchestration and feel.Kazoo -

I'm listening at the moment to Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. Having already heard the previous two entries by McCreary, I must agree with a comment by Demetris from earlier in this thread:
"As a listening experience, season 3 was the perfection of all the musical ingredients that made the previous 2 so interesting. More mature, developed and coherent as a whole."
I feel much the same way about this score, though I wouldn't go so far as to use the word "perfection."The first two albums seemed a little disjointed stylistically and, if memory serves, were skewed too heavily on the percussive side of things. The third one brings everything together into a more cohesive (and yet more varied) presentation.
Oh, and a comment on Firefly/Serenity, since it was mentioned earlier in this thread: a friend recently got me started on the show, and I couldn't stop watching! Such a compelling cast of characters, and the storytelling is phenomenal! I love the "space western" concept as applied here. It's basically a classic western tale, with the caveat that the untamed frontier exists not in the Wild West, but rather in the outer reaches of space. The decision by Whedon and his creative team to apply the western element not only as a concept, but also in a very literal way, was a stroke of genius. The clothes, the livestock, the dusty planets, the weaponry, the classic gunbelts--even the manner of speaking employed by the characters much of the time feels like it came straight out of an old western film. And the Chinese influences--well, those take the show to a whole new level of distinctiveness. -
