Ok, I'm a total sucker for trailer music, especially when it's composed by the famous Immediate Music guys (totally mindblowing)
But recently I stumbled upon these guys (Two Steps from Hell). Basically you can see it as a replica of Immediate Music, X-Ray Dog and the others, but surely their Legend album sounds bloody marvelous. You can hear 2 mixes of their Legend album, I would pick the first! It contains some brilliant choral stuff you will see appearing in various months on the next epic fantasy movie. (The stuff around 5.14 in the first piece is surely my total favorite).

Enjoy you guys, and may we start the topic on trailer musicwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Both suites are excellent and your choice as a top favourite is a good one! Thanks for highlighting their site.
This sort of thing I would definitely look out for and I was pleased to see the prospect of CDs being produced. But then I realised that these CDs would probably only be available to industry people. Shame!
But having these demo suites - and more to come - is better than nothing, I suppose. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I had a small conversation once with a person of Immediate Music, they were looking for a possibility to release their music on CD's but so far nothing has come out of it. Personally I think this music could really sell easily! But it seems it ain't that easy to convince these people
Shame indeed, I think it is brilliant how it makes you feel alive and excitedwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

What's the music used in the Chronicles of Riddick trailer? I always thought that made the movie totally mind blowing looking, where in reality it's not sadly."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Now that piece I also would like to have, perhaps one of the best trailers ever made, it has everything visual and audio can bringwaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

Which specific trailer do you mean?

Theatrical, didn't know a website existed where you could look up such a thing. Thx.
It's just one of those examples a good trailer can generate enough impact for movie viewers to take notice. But the movie's not as good as its 2.23 minute summary, as happens on a frequent basis."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

RipTide Music's website has some good clips from a variety of composers. There's also some interesting cues from Dong-June Lee's score for 2009 Lost Memories.
Has anyone heard his score for the Korean movie Brotherhood? Or anything else?

Hey Alan, glad you were able to listen som of Lee´s music.
"2009 - Lost Memories" is a korean blockbuster filled with action music, sweeping dramatic themes and epic choir for the cliffhanger moments of the film (there´s a track called "Requiem" that is specially memorable, trust me). Highly recommended.
As for "Brotherhood (Taegukgi)", dramatic from the beginning to the end (it is a war movie), with a memorable main theme that dominates the whole score with its many variations and again the use of choir for the epic ending. The score is highly recommended too.
I ´m a great fan of Lee Dong-June since I watched those two movies some years ago. And those two scores were my first korean score purchases at yesasia.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Not really sure what thread to post this in. I just watched the trailer for Never Let Me Go and was impressed with the beautiful music. Can anyone tell me what this is from? http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810163957/video/21729056 -

This topic is not very active...
Anyway, yesterday I was excited in the theatre when I saw the Prometheus trailer was starting. But it was a bit disappointing. Why? Different music than in the trailers I had seen on the internet.
So now I wonder if you all know what music is used. The trailer I know is this one and this trailer is on the website of my cinema too:
http://www.euroscoop.nl/nl/tilburg/film … etheus-3d/
The trailer that was shown in the cinema yesterday I did not know and had different music. Less thrilling I would say. I will see if I can find that one on the internet too. -

Bregje, I am not sure what music you mean. I know that a lot of the music that's used in the various trailers is from Audiomachine's "Judge and Jury":

Whether this is the music you mean, I don't know. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Yes this is the music I like, I think it works great in the trailer.
So I was surprised when I was at the theatre and I saw a Prometheus trailer with completely different music. I will see if I can find that trailer too so we can hear the difference. -

The only thing about this new trailer that I appreciate is the return of the synthesized motif that was the sound for the original Alien trailer. Now THAT is what I call an effective trailer."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Hi all, I just found your forum and I am a massive fan of Two Steps from Hell and Trailer music.
On a Prometheus featurette is "Tristan" from TSFH and others features. TSFH are my favourite really. It is great to see likeminded people who love trailer music, there are not that many around. Check this out:

Welcome utelark. I'm not normally much into trailer music, but I've totally fallen for Two Steps From Hell for some reason. Btw, they also have their own thread here-> http://www.maintitles.net/forum/discuss … -from-hell

Unearthed is a fantastic album. I found the following two albums rather disappointing though.
Think I'll give Makara another chance.

Makara is my first encounter with them, so i shall you tube "unearted" and check it out, thanks guys.
My favourites on Makara are Unstoppable, Vishnu and the all time wonderful Moonshine Sonata. Beautifully remade, I have to say. I do love the original and failed to play it on the piano, exept the first bit, shame. -

There is a new trailer out for Ken Follett's new book "Winter of the world" - great trailer, good music! Just need to find out what music it is! ( I did suggest to Ken to use TSFH). -

Wow, you're in for a treat then. Unearthed was their first album and it received much attention and positive reviews, and the music has been used in tons of big trailers. I get the feeling that most people have been disappointed by their two latter albums, mostly because of the very high expectations following their debut album.
Unearthed isn't as action oriented as Makara, and has more world music influences, so don't expect exactly the same sound.
