I like how you mostly take selected cues from the soundtracks, and not always the main theme or the most famous piece from that soundtrack. Looks like a good mix. About half of the stuff I'm not acquainted with.
I am your friend as well, so send me the mix, pretty please... HEHEHE."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

You should trim down the action cues and include, at most, a CD of softer cues. -

Just saying that she wouldn't enjoy the action cues as much as she'll like the softer ones. It's still a great mix that you've done, regardless. -

I don't have the tracklist for the 3rd compilation on me, and I havent' burned 4, 5 and 6 yet because I am waitrng on cues from composers. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -
- CommentTimeJul 13th 2008
If you don't actually enjoy listening to them and since most of them are by virtually unknown composers, then why did you include them?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -
- CommentTimeJul 13th 2008
No, I said I do like them, in fact really like them, but the rest of the score on most of the CDs is something I don't care for, like "Men In Black", which only about four more cues (mostly short stuff) I actually like. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Some excellent choices, Kevin. Though, had it been me I wouldn't have included any action at all. As film music geeks, we love stuff like "Klendathu drop" (personally it's my alltime favorite action track), but to an outsider, and especially a girl (apologies for the generalization), action film music is often a huge turn off.
When I try to convert others, I choose short (2-5 minutes), instantly catchy (e.g. Gabriel's oboe) and I try to select depending on gender and personality of the potential convert.
