    I've only heard his score to the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix video game, and it's an excellent piece of work. It's better than the movie's score (and this coming from someone who actually enjoyed Hooper's work on the film).

    His score to HP OoTP is one of my most favourite game scores ever, much better than Hooper's film score IMO.

    Music4Games reports that a soundtrack will be released for Red Alert 3 on October 28th, featuring Tim Wynn and James Hannigan's score along with "Hell March 3" which is reportedly written by Red Alert 1 and 2 composer Frank Klepacki.

    It looks as though Wynn and Hannigan did most of the score, but Frank Klepacki was drafted into reprise his Hell March and Grinder tracks! Sounds good to me.
  8. Hell March has probably quite a cult following. Klepacki's music i C&C definitely stood out, yes.

  10. I just received Red Alert 3 premier edition, complete with soundtrack, and the score is not a disappointment. Hannigan's main theme 'Soviet March' is brilliant as is Klepacki's updated Hell March 3 (complete with orchestra and choir!)

  15. sounds good to me, I really liked his last one. Interesting to note on his site that he's been writing additional music for series 3 of the tv show Primeval and just did another Red Alert game as well. There was audio from a radio interview as well which was very interesting.
  16. The 'Soviet March' for Red Alert 3 (heard in the game's menu) is quite good, but that's about it, with the rest of the rather average music for one of the factions.

    I am currently greatly enjoying the show Primeval (inexplicably big shiny anomalies appear in different places...and turn out to be time portals that mostly reach into prehistoric times. And to a lot of the beasties in those days, mankind's just a light snack...). Hannigan has created a powerful, driving soundtrack (much in the "new way" of TV scoring as heard from Murray Gold, Martin Phipps and Trevor Morris).

    Sadly, no CD or downloads seem to be in the making, and the show has already been running for a few years so I'm not to hopeful of a future release. sad

    Yes, I've seen every episode of PRIMEVAL too, and a bit impatient as I have to wait untill October untill the series picks up again (the finale wasn't THAT exciting, though). Some pretty cool music throughout, although I find the outros a bit annoying.
    I am extremely serious.

    I quite like this series, it's great fun. I do keep expecting the theme to turn into Stanley Myers theme for The Martian Chronicles though.

    Hannigan's queue "The Prophet's Ascension" from the Command & Conquer 4 soundtrack is one of the best pieces of music I've heard this year so far. It's an eleven-minute well-structured crescendo of drama that would not be out of place accompanying the climactic set-piece of a sci-fi film.
